Dr. Martin Trotter, Head of Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Providence Health Care, Dr. Lik Lee, the Co-Investigator, and Jean Su, CEO of GenerationsE Software Solutions, Inc. signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on developing DeepScene™ further to meet pathologists' needs in the clinical environment on January 28, 2020.
GenerationsE develops artificial intelligence (AI)-driven cancer diagnostic solutions for pathologists to empower them with deep learning and digital pathology technologies and to drive the excellence of pathology in cancer diagnosis and treatment. We have partnered with BC Cancer, a global leading cancer research centre since 2017 and released DeepScene™1.0, a colorectal cancer biopsy diagnostic assistance solution for pathologists in March 2019. St. Paul’s Hospital, the oldest of the seven health care facilities operated by Providence Health Care joined BC Cancer and GenerationsE in the early stage of creating and verifying cancer biopsy algorithms for DeepScene™.
GenerationsE is excited to see top pathologists like Drs. Trotter and Lee share the same vision with us on enabling pathologists with AI technologies and provide us with realistic clinical use cases that DeepScene™ could automate in the daily clinical operation.
